FATS Work Party
Calling all volunteers,
Trail Work Party for FATS
1:00pm Sunday Jan 23
Meet at FATS main parking lot
Bring: flat shovel or hard rake if you have one, water, work gloves
Tools will also be available from our stock.
Planned work: clean water drains and dips
Please respond (dan-angelaallen@comcast.net) if you can make it. We need a head count for planning purposes.
We can use as many people as can show up. We'll break up in smaller groups to maximize trail coverage. I would like to get work done on multiple trails.
Thanks,
Daniel Allen

Jan 23 Workparty is on. We have 22 people signed up. BW and Skinny were assessed today and there are 137+ problem spots to keep everyone busy tomorrow. Thanks to everyone that signed up. Keep and eye out for next months workparty. Later, Daniel

Thank you to everyone who came out to work today! We were totally blown away by the response - there were 35 volunteers working on the Brown Wave and Skinny alone (another crew was working on Deep Step). There will be a follow up work party to complete the lower Skinny - stay tuned. If you are not a SORBA member and came out to work today and want to be included in the broadcast of our monthly newsletter just email me at daniel.angela.allen@gmail.com and I will add you. If you want to become a member you can join online at www.sorba.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14&Itemid=53 be sure and specify that you want to join the Augusta GA and Aiken SC (CSRA) chapter. We had about 137 drains/dips identified on Brown Wave and Skinny that needed deberming or more extensive work and I suspect once we assess we will have more than half of them complete. If you are missing a tool or you have a SORBA-CSRA tool still please let me know so we can get all the tools back in the proper place. Thank you volunteers! Angela

The group breynolds and I lead was made up of half riders, half trail runners. It was very nice to work with other trail users and hope that on future dates they will be asked to join and come out. Had a good time.

Had a good time. We had two trail runners, a few local riders, and two not-so-local riders; one drove from Statesboro and the other drove from Greenville. How cool is that? ;D

I'd love to help, but I'm working Saturday & Sunday, out of town Monday thru Friday, back to work Saturday, busy Sunday due to a birthday. After that, I'm definitely up for some trail work.
