E.T. around the various FATS trails (or others for that matter) Forum is slow lately and I thought this would be a good topic for people to see what others are doing and develop a measuring stick for themselves. I've seen this come up before, but I want to ask the question differently. I don't want to know what your pedal to the metal personal best is; but what is your typical time? That gives some of us slowpokes an idea of where our riding speed is and maybe a little hope and motivation to improve. (or maybe despair and discouragement..... ;D)

I did Keg Creek in 1hr 4min 38sec Saturday. Felt like I was cruising at a good pace but also felt like I did not go all out.

This past Saturday me, Stacey, and Marco (considerately riding at our pace ) rode Great Wall clockwise and I think that took about an 1 hour 15 mins (thats with a short stop to move a fallen tree). Took a short snack break then we did Skinny clockwise and that was about 45 mins. Man what a great day. It was GORGEOUS!

I used to keep a log of all my rides...haven't in a long time though.
I remember I used to do Skinny + Brown Wave in 1hr 20ish minutes I think it was.
I know for sure I'm usually right at 2hrs for Deep Step/Big Rock/Tower.

I used to ride the four old loops at FATS in about 2.5 hours.
Like Dustin, DS, BR and T in under 2 hours. From the house, DS, BR, T was usually 2:15.

I could probably push harder but Ive been riding alone a lot and Im scared of getting hurt or getting gased too early. New Bartrams just pwns me though. My fastest New Bartrams time is 2 hours. I cant seem to get under that. The more I ride New Bartrams, the more I start to dislike it.

New Bartrams i ride in about 2 1/2 hours. Wow, that's pretty fast. Petersburg to Washington Rd. then back to Petersburg takes me just under 3.5 hours. I think it took the guys attempting the Thurmond Epic 1.0 about 1.5 hours for the Petersburg to Washington Rd. leg (i.e., one way). Good for you man.

peterburg to wildwood. wildwood back to petersburg. Is there a landmark at the Wildwood boundary? Is it the last bridge (#10, I think)?

peterburg to wildwood. wildwood back to petersburg. Is there a landmark at the Wildwood boundary? Is it the last bridge (#10, I think)? when I hit the road I usually take a break and turn around. I know if you take a right and follow the road down it leads to a campground. Its usually 18 miles by my computer. 9 miles in and 9 miles out.

Here's a few that I have tracked this year: All FATS stuff is from the parking lot. Skinny: 41 DS: 33 GW: 49 Four lower loops: 2:41 Upper Sk, BW, Upper Sk: 59 Upper Sk, BW, Lower Sk: 1:11 DS, GW: 1:19 BR, T: 53 Horn is typically always around 34 Don't really know about HKSP since I always start at the campground, but roughly 50 from site 17. Tracked a couple of the rides this summer in hundred degree temps. That'll drop your speed a bit Oh yeah, WDam to P'Burg and back, no loops: 61 MD

did a loop of Keg creek in each direction today. Just a nice average pace no pushing it. CCW 51 minutes, CW 1:07. On the CW loop my seat broke, one of the rails snapped just were it comes out of the clamp, so I loosened it up and slid the broken section into the clamp and tightened it up. held together . The forest floor is a complete brown out went off the trail a few times. Perfect riding temp, and its just beautiful out there right now!!!

Kind of off the subject but there are a lot of sizable limbs down all over the place, has anyone ever been hit with a falling limb that we know about??

Wow I had a better time cw on Keg than Teds! yes I know it was his second lap and a bummed seat......his times just crush mine. I view Petersburg to Wildwood as the 'Burg lot to1st pave road at WW.
