We ought to add the bike toss as an event at Bikefest! It is already on the schedule along with wheel toss (for kids), ghost rider, tire pop, etc!

looks like someplace in the United Kingdom?? www.northumberland.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=1426Sure wish they had this type of cross now. Beech Island could be the new mecca for a resurrection of this type of cross racing. The ruggedness plays into my hands better than the current sterile, sprint type races...meaning you've got to be able to ride, not just ride fast. Notice all the single speeds? Does Gary Fisher know that one guy claims he invented the mountain bike? And it looks like an early version of the 29er to!

Looks fun for sure though!

Listen close to the old gentleman speaking and he says the very same thing. Running fitness is important. By those standards, what we have today is weenie cross.
Wool wool everywhere! Looks like a sheep roundup.

Like the guy 1min 57 seconds in the video that chunked his bike in the creek. I have done adventure races that I had the same feeling........ Pure frustration.....
