Well, if you are at 283, I'd ride Wine.
About the same. Wine may have a techy feature here or there she may have to walk.
Wine is prettier, especially the northern part (closer to 283).

I talked to Mark Y and Johhny B earlier and I think we are just going to park at key rd and ride Turkey that way she has the options of using the service roads out just in case, It'll only be 14 miles so she should be fine. We will probably get there around 10

In the spring I rode Turkey out to the end to FS 617 up the road, took a left. Just before the paved road FS 619 (?) is on the right, took that down to the end passed the gate, thru the creek and followed an old dirt road to FS 618 and turned left on that to where Turkey gets on it back to the car. Believe it was about 10 miles

For a holiday weekend I thought we had a good turn out. I counted 16 riders at one time or another (including Mark Y's crew) The Breakfast Club had an early start from Price's Bottom. Rode out on Turkey to the 5 mile mark, turned around and met the first group of riders in the technical section of Wine and the main body just after that. Bonus for hitting the trail early, I now have a silk shirt Hope you recover fast Dale.

Bonus for hitting the trail early, I now have a silk shirt Even as the group straggler, I managed to pick up enough "thread" to make a few repairs on that silk shirt. I rode Wine, then part of Turkey, maybe not quite halfway. I ran into Mark Y's group, chatted for a few minutes, then headed back. I had a really good time yesterday. It was nice to see some old friends again and finally be able to put some faces to the names I've seen here on the forums for a while now. It was great to meet you guys. Dale, hope that shoulder and wrist is gonna be OK. You know, I didn't realize until yesterday just how long it's been since I had ridden Turkey/Wine Creek. Had to be prior to 2002. Yesterday was the first time that I've seen the bridge from the parking lot at Key Bridge. Last time I rode down there you had to park on the other side of the bridge where Wine comes out onto Key Road. Same old Turkey/Wine Creek though. Those trails have always put a big 'ol grin on my face. ;D

Sorry to hear about Dale, that sucks. Hope you heal up quick man.
I had a good ride yesterday...even though I fell in the creek. Got stuck in one of the rocky sections just a mile from northern trailhead, put my foot down, and either it slipped, or the ground gave way, something. I almost walked it out, but ended up falling. Got both feet wet, and the left side of my body. Good times!
The weather this weekend has been awesome.

I thought it was a great ride. Reminded me of 1998, or so.

I had a good time, the weather has been great the past few days. I'd like to go out there one afternoon and ride the trail at a little faster pace, but It was fun staying back with my gf and she had a great time out there.

Reminded me of 1998, or so. Me too. Probably because that's around the last time I rode there.

If not, just wait for me at the end. ;D I got a late start and didnt make it to Key road until almost 10. Everyone was finishing up Turkey and I had just rode Wine. Breakfast didnt sit right so I headed out. Still need to ride Turkey.
