Hey Bill, Thanks for the link. I think that it should be something that SORBA-CSRA needs to be involved in. We have some potential around the area for "freeride" trails or sections of trails with "freeride potential". With the popularity growing, it would be a great idea for SORBA-CSRA to be involved from the beginning to help make the jumps, log rides, etc... properly. Having seen trails out west that have been improperly constructed I think it's important that they are done right the first time both from a fun and safe point of view. My urgency for SORBA to be involved stems from my fear of having "New" riders constructing the trails under their own supervision with no guidelines which we all know leads to poor trails. One other concern I have is having people build the "trails" or "stunts" who have no desire to ride them at all. My question/point being, are there any SORBA members outside of a few people you and I can think of who would be interested in building these trails and would actually ride them? What is the demand like around here? I'll stop there until there is, if there is, more feedback from others. Todd

Todd, I see this as an avenue to expand S-CSRA's membership to local freeriders that presently are to "rad" to join. If S-CSRA can get the sole approval of the land managers to build safe stunts using IMBA's construction guidelines, then we have established that only we can build what freeriders want. I see it bridging the gap b/n us and the freeriders. To build this stuff, you have to join. Look at the follow up posts from freeriders wanting to "get involved" in this one aspect of SORBA. How long has SORBA been around? And now, they are poking their heads under the (SORBA) tent cause they heard there is something under there for them to be interested in.
