I repaired another flat yesterday and realized I have 6 patches on 1 tube. How many do you have?

I have never patched a tube in my life...other than the self stickies to get you out of the woods.
I did win a patch kit in the "where is the trail" game. Thought I'd never use it.
Then I was with someone yesterday who needed to use it....so it actually got used. A big thanks to John Liebe for that one.
Haven't had a flat since I went tubeless in March of 2008.

I view a patch as a temporary repair 'til I get a new tube in.
Note: never used a patch for myself but do carry a patch kit and spare tube.

You usually can't put a patch over another patch. Other than that the sky is the limit. Rock on. Too many tubes in the landfills anyhow.
And thank you seenvic. Don't forget that the glue's gonna dry up now that its been opened. Maybe you should give the whole kit to jp3.

You can never have too many patches, just too many tubes thrown away. Wooglin, I once discovered you can patch a patch with a patch as long as you patch it good. But that's no more. Here's a neat twist. I've been using lightweight tires and tubes with removable cores into which I've put Stan's. No flats in 2 years. Use it on my cross bike as well for commuting. I use it this way because I don't run low air pressure and just want the flat protection. I changed tires the other day and saw 23 white dots (places where Stan's had sealed) on my tube. All you people posting that are currently using stans....it's about time for a refill if you haven't done it already. It's been long enough.
