Good fun. Next time I'll think I'll try it on the mtb. I feel lucky to have made it through without washin out. Won't make the next one as I'll be at the beach. I look forward to the final one.
Thanks Dustin and Drew and you and you.
BV....You should do it and bring the kids. They'd have a blast.

First ones were unedited out of the camera. Here is one after editing it. Basically I shot in RAW, which is just pure image captured on the cameras sensor. After that I load it into Photoshop and make color, saturation and a number of other adjustments to come up with the final image. Basically a digital darkroom if you will. Anyways enjoy. Tom

Before the first race Dustin and I said if 10 people race, we'll call it a successful event. Success was achieved!!! Thanks to everyone who came out to race and to those that helped out. Everything went great except for the fact my laptop doesn't have Excel, so we could use Dustin's custom timing program that he spent countless hours on. Anyway, Kim got some great post ride pics so I'll have them up soon. Check here for the official Canal Crown page...

What a fun event. Keith and I would like to give a big "THANK YOU" to all that helped with the event and a very special "Thank You" to Dustin, Kim, and Drew for making us feel welcome to our very first mountain bike event. My son Keith and I just started riding mountain bikes this year and I really enjoy the time that we get to spend together. Keith had a good run even with some vines getting caught in his rear sprockets and derailing his chain. He said it felt like forever getting the vines out of his sprockets.
I feel that I had a good run, I gave it my all and I look forward to beating my time and maybe getting into the 15 min. range. Who said old guys can't have fun. I haven't rode a bicycle much since I was a kid and at 57 years old it looks like I have found another sport that will keep me young. That drink from the trophy was really good.
Thanks again, Jerry

BV....You should do it and bring the kids. They'd have a blast. Had a family gig in Aiken that involved the kids. I had planned to make it the week before and bring the whole crew but it turned out there was no race. Hopefully, next time.
