COE is supplying most of the lumber for a 14' bridge on the extension to Wildwood. The date is June 20 and we'll meet at 9:00 on Rt 221 at the pull-over where the COE property meets the road between Petersburg and Pollard's corner. From Pollard's corner, travel about 1 mile toward the dam. There is a well defined pull over on the left side. There are double red painted bands on the trees there. It's about a 5 minute walk from the road to the bridge site, all downgrade on a defined path. What we need are a number of hands to tote materials to the bridge location. What would be an easy task would make one tote and then take off for a ride on Bartram, FATS or another trail closeby. We'll need just a few folks for the actual assembly.
Thanks for your help!

We'll see you there. Will help you get the stuff down to the site, then we'll probably head out to get the air strip mowed.

Dale, I will have to go to the thing downtown for the IMBA Summit at 9:15. I had planned to help do this and scout the trail for the future. I either push my Bartram visit to Sunday, or later on Saturday.

Ditto for me too Dale. I can help out after the IMBA World Summit ceremony though. I know where that cutoff is located so I could probably find you if you'll still be there.
I know you're working with the COE but is there any way we could postpone this until after the ceremony? I'm just asking because I'd like to see you and everybody else down at the ceremony if you can make it. The more people we have showing up for that, the better impression we'll make to the people who helped get us the Summit.
If it can be postponed, you'll have me to help you until the job is completed. Deal?

Dale, you and I discussed this yesterday. If it is still on for Saturday, we'll be there. If you feel the need to move it, I understand.

Summit ceremony not withstanding, I've got everything lined up for Sat 9:00. COE is bringing the decking and hardware cloth; I've got the rest covered. One round trip haul to the site is 10 minutes. The headers are already installed so the actual erection should take less than 2 hours. The most critical item is my personal schedule. I'll be leaving the following morning and will be out of pocket until mid-July -- and I have an absolute ton of stuff to do before I leave. So, for those that can help, I'm extremely grateful. I'll supply all tools but could use a second cordless screwdriver - Michael? Bill - don't know when the bids are due back but I'll be more than happy to accompany LCT in any walkdowns, info sharing, shortcuts for access points, etc. after I get back. We need to support the Summit doings so I more than understand that need. Thanks

Thanks Dale. We know you had this one scheduled before we found out we were selected for the IMBA World Summit let alone about the Summit ceremony. Those of us who'll be at the ceremony will be sure to mention that several of our best are building a bridge on the Wildwood extension.
Greatly appreciate your efforts! See you when you get back!
Be safe! JL

I'll bring a drill as well. Would a cordless circular saw, or sawzall help?

Thanks, Money but everything will be pre-cut. Xtra drill will be good insurance in case one dies.

Is anyone planning to ride after? I am on the fece about taking my bike or not. Might be a little to hot after. I will also be bringing a drill.
