I just had it confirmed yesterday, I'm a diabetic. I know alot of things will change. Up 'til yesterday I rode for fun, but now I have a bigger reason. Are there any folks who are diabetic, or not, who have suggestions on what to ask or tell my doctor and dietitian?
thanks, Jimmy Culpepper

JimmC-
Sorry to hear that! The one person to talk to is Troy Willard. Troy is, I believe, a Type1 diabetic. Not sure what his email add. but I'm sure he is lurking out there and will see your post. RF

Jimmy, Rob is right. Talk to T-roy. You can see his bio at: www.teamtype1.org/team/willard.htmlYou can email him at: t-roy74@comcast.net Don't screw around getting yourself in gear for dealing with this disease. I lost my Dad 7 years ago due to a life long battle with diabetes. He was fortunate to have worked at the Medical College of GA where he had access to doctors and experimental medicines. Fortunately for you and T-roy, people like him have made it possible to deal with diabetes and live a somewhat normal life. Good luck and don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have.
