Single track is ~ 8.5 miles. Looping back across the paved bridge gets you almost right at 9.0 miles.

Wow, no wonder that trail beat the heck out of me. JEESSHH! So you think anyone would mind if I take a rake out there the next time I ride it and clear some of the pine cones off the trail? Or is this someone else's job.

Normally we do leaf (and pine cone blowing) after the first of the new year. For now, just roll over the little buggers and squash 'em.

Will do. I just moved here from Phoenix AZ and I'm hitting all the trails around Evans/Augusta area. Love this site, and all the trails! Now I just have to get back in shape.
thanks

Did you ride much in PHX? We were just out there last summer and did S. Mtn ad Mc Dowell Park. Of course we had to hit Tucson and ride Fantasy Island too. My son-in-law, who still lives in Tucson, calls us "tree-riders" now that we live here in the SE. DP has it right. Crunch the little cones. MD

azdrawdy, TREE RIDERS, well after living in Phoenix 4 years I'd much rather ride on black dirt as apposed to dry, cactus, weeds, rocks, and more cactus! Ya I road South Mountain and McDowell Prk. I made the best of the desert trails. I found myself swimming more than biking for obvious reasons.
