FATS is officially back open per the US Forest Service. Thank you to all the trail users who respected this trail closure!
Again there will be the usual seeps and mucky spots so please stay in the middle of the trail to prevent widening. As each day passes without rain these areas will improve. Please help keep the singletrack single!

Heads Up! FATS south parking lot>
The main FATS parking lot will be closed for maintenance/restructuring on November 1 - 4 and November 8 - 11.
The trails are NOT closed but trail users need to park at the north trails parking lot OR along the USFS gravel roads.
Please do not block any gates or roads.
Please ensure your vehicle is completely off the road so you do not impede the flow of traffic.
Please do not park in the open field used for overflow parking for the FATS Flow Master.
Please help spread the word, as long as trail users follow the guidelines above the trails will remain open during the work being done on the parking lot.
Questions? Feel free to comment here or to sorba.csra@gmail.com
Thank you!!!

FATS Update!
(Oct 29/6:30am) It rained most of yesterday but only accumulated about 1/2 inch of rain with the last remnants around 5am this morning.
With no additional rain the trails should be good to go in about 24 hours. Please allow FATS to dry out some before using.
Stick to the middle of the trail even through wet/mucky spots to keep the singletrack single! Thank you.

FATS Update>
A cold front pushed rain across the area this morning. It was very light so just enough to knock some dust down on the trails. Trails should have no other impact from the rain.

FATS Update!
(Dec 8th/1pm) Had about 3/4 inch of rain in the FATS vicinity early this morning. It has been very dry for a while so trail should be good to go in about 24 hours.
Please allow the trails to dry out some before using them.
We are moving into the time of year when cooler temps and a dormant growing season will result in slower dry times.

FATS Upsate!
(Dec 19/8:30am) We’ve had about 2 inches of rain with the system that just rolled through with more light rain predicted. Once the rain has passed, the trails will need about 48 hours to dry out. However more rain is in the forecast for Tuesday.
Please allow the trails to dry out before using. We will update the trail conditions as we move along. Thank you!!

FATS Update!
(Dec 22/8:20am) Using the sources we do, the rain that moved through yesterday and into the early morning hours added less than an additional quarter of an inch of rain to the area around FATS.
Please do not use the trails for at least 24 hours. We will do a trail check and report findings. Things do not dry out as quickly this time of year.
Please help us protect this resource and spread the word! Thank you!

FATS Update!
(Dec 31st/6:00am) The system that rolled across yesterday produced approximately an inch of rain in the FATS area. Given slower drying times please wait at least 48 hours before using the trails.
There is more rain forecasted which could further delay drying. Stay tuned for updates. Trails north of FATS received more rain, app 1.5 inches.
