Trail is in good condition, a couple of trees down on section two and a couple of bridges in section 2 (traveling CW) slated for repair. Main parking area is closed as are the bathrooms but the winter parking lot is open (about half way up section 3 (traveling CW) as well as a small parking lot between section 4 and 5 (traveling CW). We are planning a work party for the Horn Creek Trail on Saturday, May 9th. We will be working with the DR mowers, string trimmers, etc. If you are able to help for a few hours on Saturday morning please contact us at sorba.csra@gmail.com.
Due to constraints we will be having more frequent work parties this year with fewer volunteers. Please come out and help us!
Thank you!

Trees down removed off this trail last week, foliage is beginning to get longer in some areas but trail tread is great!

Great news! Since October meant two large local events, the FATS 50K XC running event and the upcoming FATS Flow Master MTB event we have extended the Horn Creek Selfie Contest through November.
Today (or any day through the end of November) is a great day to get in on the Horn Creek Trail Selfie Contest! Mountain bikers, runners and hikers welcome to participate!
Take a selfie of yourself (or you with your buds) at the Boy Scout bridge (see pics below) and submit it to sorba.csra@gmail.com by November 30, 2020 to be in the drawing for a $50 gift certificate from Andy Jordan’s Bicycle Warehouse. We’ll announce the winner at the December chapter meeting!
If you take some cool pics along the way and share them on Facebook, mark them public and tag SORBA-CSRA and we’ll share them on our page!
Also check out the CSRA Trail Conditions Facebook page as an additional resource to stay up to date on all the local area trails and to report trail issues such as downed trees or other areas that need attention.
