National Trails Day Ride, Saturday, June 1st at Hickory Knob State Park
Come join us for the National Trails Day Ride that will be held at Hickory Knob State Park (meet at the Big Red Barn) on the beautiful Lake View Loop on Saturday June 1st, wheels roll at 10am and just in case you are running a few minutes behind we will be traveling clockwise. Looks like the temps during ride time will range from the high 70s to the low 80s!
Directions from Augusta>>>
Directions from Fury's Ferry Road in Evans - cross the bridge into South Carolina (now you are on 28) and drive for about 23 miles to McCormick, SC.
At the traffic light in McCormick turn left onto 378
Drive just under 6 miles to state road S33.7 (it is the road just past the convenience store).
Drive just over a mile and a half to the entrance of Hickory Knob State Park on the left (I think it is marked Resort Drive but there is a sign for the Park).
Turn left, it is about a mile give or take to the big red barn on the left. You can't miss it up on the hill on the left.
Allow yourself approximately 45 minutes from the bridge taking you into South Carolina.
Afterward we will be head over to the Western SC Blueway Festival being held at Baker Creek State Park. This is a free event and SORBAcsra will have a tent there and be doing a couple of demonstrations and have a couple of activities for the kids during the day.
This free event is expected to draw over two thousand visitors. This is a great opportunity for SORBAcsra to promote our organization and potentially increase membership and volunteers. Come up enjoy the ride and head to the festival for a full day of fun. They are celebrating the outdoors at this festival, check it out on the link below!
