Rode the lake loop with the family on 1-12-19. The trail has minor cupping in places and has about 30 trees down. Was a shame to see this first of the area flow trails essentially abandoned as this was the first showpiece of the local trails. Trail was remarkably dry considering conditions elsewhere. Still a great trail just needs a little love, and about 3-4 chainsaws and swampers.

If you are referring to the Hickory Knob State Park Lakevew Loop we are now aware of the remaining trees that are down on that loop. After some pretty severe storms last year we went up and assessed that trail. We found there were 50 trees down on that loop alone. We got in touch with the park ranger and they had a crew they were going to send out to remove them. We have since received a report from some riders that it was cleared about half way. We will be back in touch with the ranger. Hopefully it will be cleared soon!
On a separate note we are building a list of volunteers who are willing to help keep our outlying trails maintained . If you are willing to be added to this list just email us at sorba.csra@gmail.com
