Please give FATS 24 hours to dry out, heavier pop-up showers were in the area overnight. If we don't get more rain, trails should be okay to ride starting tomorrow (Friday)!

Handful of mud puddles on Brown/Skinny/Wall. Big non rider on upper Skinny and several non riders on Great Wall. Made mental notes of where they were but heat exhaustion made me forget.

Thanks for the update Brando, the large tree on upper Skinny has been removed but suspect after two days of storms rolling through there will be more down!

Heavy rain last night across FATS and more heavy rain early this afternoon. Please allow a couple of days for the trails to dry out before riding them. This time of year they will dry pretty quickly if we can get a couple of days without rain. Thank you!

Irma moved through the area and dropped a significant amount of rain yesterday. Please do not ride the trails until they have had time to dry out.
The trails had been very dry prior to Irma so we expect they will be dried out by Thursday or Friday. Thank you!

We are into our 3rd day of rain from the front moving through the area. The trails are wet and with the colder temps and growing season over the trails will take longer to dry out. In addition there is ongoing trail work being done at FATS and those areas are much more susceptible to rutting until they harden up.
Please don't ride the trails while they are wet, they will need at least 48 hours or more to dry this time of year AFTER the rain stops.
Thank you for helping to keep FATS great!

Please respect the official closure and thank you for your support.

FATS is officially open. There are some soft areas where the rework has been done but will firm up as they are ridden.

There was between an inch and an inch and a half of rain yesterday. We are in the winter cycle now which means cool/cold days, dormant trees and fewer plants to absorb the water. Those conditions coupled with the rework being done out at FATS, which makes many of those areas vulnerable to rutting when they are wet, means trail users need to stay off the trails for at least 48 hours. Please help spread the word! Thank you!
