Would it be possible to post future work party dates under the " Workparty Schedule" heading? There's nothing mentioned regarding the latest Keg Creek bridge build.
We've had numerous people ask us about them while at the shop. We then direct them to the forum and Facebook for possible upcoming dates. Unfortunately, most information posted referencing them is after they are over, last minute, or under the specific trail heading instead of under WP Schedule.
The post for the Time Trial Series was noted, appreciated, and is a great example for my request.
Thank you for your considerations.

Ted thank you for asking!
The last minute call for 2 or 3 people was the result of a call to me at work asking if I could round up another couple of people. To me it was probably too late by Friday afternoon to grab more people and I lead a busy work life so just had a minute to make that post. I choose to post in Keg Creek since it was the last minute and was hoping that someone who loves that trail would see it and jump in. I've been told by many people they don't even go to the forum page they just hit that link that takes them to the latest posts.
Our regularly scheduled (usually weeks out), larger work parties are set up under the workparty schedule (usually by me). What you have been seeing are the smaller work parties that normally only need a handful of participants.
The crew leader for these smaller work parties often schedules them just a few days out (since they are small the crew leader can be much more flexible while watching weather, etc). They tap into their normal crew and often socialize the idea at the monthly meeting which often grabs the remainder. Often that handful of people have told them, let me know when it's a go and I will come help.
The reason they are posted later with pictures, etc is to let people know there are people out doing work on the trails. The last thing we need to do is over-publicize a work party where 6 people are needed (particularly if 5 people have already indicated at the meeting they can help) and end up with 20. I have found after doing this for nearly 15 years now that nothing turns off volunteers more than showing up for work only to find their time is wasted as they stand around doing nothing or are assigning minimal work since there was not enough work or tools for 20.
Not sure if you have been hitting the trails lately but within the next couple of weeks we will be doing a full court press on advertising a work party for FATS and right behind that probably the annual Wine/Turkey Mow-A-Thon. We will typically post them a few weeks to a month out (which often makes us vulnerable from a weather stand point) since we will easily need 25 to 35 participants to get the job done. And although we will post on FB, Twitter, forum, the newsletter and often broadcast out to our membership we sometimes still come up short of volunteers. We really appreciate your letting people know when they come into the shop about where to find that information because we do get people who come up later and say they wish they had known about the work party.
I have asked before for people to let me know if they are willing to be on a short call list for a work party but haven't really had much response to that request.
And BTW we very much appreciate the people, like you, who silently work behind the scenes and we know there are quite a few of them willing to wrestle that tree off the trail or hit it with a hand saw or clear debris, etc. Thank you!
