SORBA-CSRA Skills Clinic and Ride Saturday, January 22nd, 1pm Augusta Canal Towpath Clearing
Don't forget to come out for the skills clinic this Saturday. This is a SORBA wide January event. We will have a maintenance clinic, log crossing session, bike handling session (braking-turning-climbing-etc) and there will be a ride on the Augusta Canal MTB trail afterward. This is always a lot of fun whether you are a skilled mountain biker or just starting out. Bring new riders or riders that can benefit from the experience of others or just come be one of the experienced others . We'll provide refreshments after the clinic and before the ride. Come join us!!
From the Savannah Rapids Pavilion take the towpath towards the Pumping Station......the clinic will be in the large grassy area on the left approximately 3 miles from the canal headgate.
From the Pumping Station parking lot.........cross the railroad tracks and follow the path on the left side of the construction - get on the towpath and go approximately 1/2 mile to the large grassy area on the right.
Helmets are required....children must be accompanied by an adult.

Last year the weather was iffy. Hopefully there will be more support(ahmn, as I clear my throat) this year for this volunteer driven event. I'll be there with my nephew and girlfriend(fiance). See you there!
I hope the weather holds as well.........looks like it will be warmer but the rain predictions are all over the place.........weather.com at 30%, channel 6 at 50%.........who knows!! At any rate all we can do is hope for the best........we are expecting a good turnout IF the weather does hold!!
