Anyone doing the patriots park CX?

I'm thinking of doing the Pat Park CX on nov 9th. Is anyone else going to?

Never raced CX but am thinking about it. Figured I will just take off my bar ends. There is a free kids rave also that day (14 and under) that my daughter might do.

If not racing, can I interest you in volunteering? Need one person for morning slot and one person for afternoon slot.

I'm thinking about doing it on my single speed and setting up her hybrid with CX tires. Lucky for us the races are separated by some time and we can baby toss lol

CX is a TON of fun! I've done the local race twice now and will be back again this year. Here's a write up I did a few years back: www.singletracks.com/blog/mtb-events/cyclecross-for-mountain-bikers-my-first-cx-race/ (I was able to finish ahead of Drew the next time we raced CX together!)

I think I'm going to mix it up this year and take the SS instead of the geared bike.
