A group of us will be doing the full Thurmond Epic at the Best Dam Ride in a few weeks. Everyone is invited to join in on the big miles of fun.
We'll start earlier than the main ride so we can get back in time for food. Once I figure out the times I'll post them here.
This is a ride-at-your-own-pace ride. You don't have to wait for anyone, and no one has to wait for you. If you're not familiar with the route, bring a map. If you want a GPS file to upload into a Garmin or other GPS device, get me your e-mail address and I'll send it your way.
EDIT: Registration opens at 7am, official ride is at 8:30am. If you're doing the long ride, lets be on the bikes at 7:30.

Just a head up, Chain Reaction will have bag pick ups at the store Saturday and I believe Friday of that weekend. Yep, good eye Brian. Alright big milers, here's the plan: You can pick up your registration packets the morning of the ride, or get them early on Friday from 4-7pm or any time on Saturday at Chain Reaction. We will roll out at 7:30am. There are two SAG locations along the route. One at the very end of Bartram just before Washington Rd (you'll hit this one twice) and we'll use the office at Mistletoe for the 2nd stop. There is a water fountain there to top off your bottles/pack, and they have soda/gatorade/candy for sale inside, so bring some dollars. SAG 1 - ~19 miles (end of Bartram) SAG 2 - ~35 miles (MT office) SAG 3 - ~45 miles (end of Bartram) The SAG at the end of Bartram will be a water drop only, so bring your own food, or get out there early and drop some food off yourself. SORBA-CSRA will have a few other SAG stops set up with food and water and volunteers along the route, but we may not see them. We'll head out before they're set up, and depending on how fast you are they may already be packed up and gone by the time we come back through. And again, this is a ride your own pace ride, as slow or as fast as you want. Looking forward to it! Gonna be a good time!
