Okay, dates have been set for the Moonlight Time Trial at the canal trail.
Feb 4th and Feb 11th are the race dates. If we have bad weather, we'll adjust accordingly.
$2 entry fee. Winner takes all at each race. No age/ability classes.
Can somebody volunteer to be the "fire guy" and get there early to get a fire going? I'll be getting there early to tape off the course, but wont have time to get the fire started before everyone gets there. On the Weds. night ride before the TT we'll gather some wood...there's plenty laying around down there.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT drive up the tow path and park at the pump house. The towpath gate (down at King and Sibley Mill) is closed and locked at dark. You can either park near Lake Olmstead, the headgates, or park at Andy Jordan's Bicycle Warehouse, then ride to the trail. First racer will be off the start line around 7:00.
Doesn't look like anyone is going to have time to lead a work party to re-route around The Hole, or work on the muddy spot. We'll just race it as is. However, if someone could get out there and put stakes and flagging at the top of the hole to make sure people go around it, that'd be great. Last night we did move the tire up onto the trail to encourage people to go around, but something bright would be better.
If someone else could lead a work party, that'd be great.
