;D I had the day off yesterday and headed down to FATS for the first time since June 2009. I met a few guys up from Tampa and together we rode Great Wall CCW. It was beautiful with the changing leaves. I later rode Brown Wave and enjoyed long stretches of trail that had just been raked. In fact, I passed through a group of 3 or 4 volunteers who were busy pulling down overgrowth and raking excess pine straw out of the way. Well done!!! Thank you thank you thank you. I greatly appreciate how well FATS is being maintained. Big thumbs up!
As for me, I got caught in the downpour about 4 miles away from the main lot and slogged my way back ever so slowly as I was thoroughly cooked from riding. Darn 30 lb SS. I look forward to my next ride there.

Thanks! We have some dedicated volunteers for sure! Glad you had the chance to make it back and found the trail in good condition, sometimes the passage of time isn't so kind to trails, this one was well built and we try to stay on top of the maintenance since it gets to many wheels!
That particular group was primarily clearing drains and dips on the Brown Wave before the slow dry season settles in for the next 5 months. Very dedicated group of individuals.

Me and my buddy Brad volunteered for the first time with SORBA to clear those drainage ditches and it was a good time. Thanks to Paul for teaching us all about it and being patient with us first timers!
Will be out riding consistently this season I think. Check my youtube channel for vids.
