Bike Fest is a great great time, I'll be there hopefully! I missed the riding last year but made it in time for the bike games, hope to do it all this time.
We'll see about putting together another Big Ride option for those interested.

I always really enjoy this event. So much fun for all involved. We're camping, and know of a few others that are doing the same.
Spoke with Drew at AJBW the other day and he says Specialized has committed, and Giant is a possibility. Haven't been able to touch bases with Phil yet to see if he has anything on the horizon for us.

If you plan to attend the Fall BikeFest please fill out this short survey, it will allow us to plan for food, games, volunteers.... It is a free event so no worries if something comes up at the last minute and you are unable to attend, we simply want to make sure we have enough of everything to make this another successful BikeFest! Thank you! www.surveymonkey.com/s/YCKH5VQ

If you tried to complete the survey but were unsuccessful please try again. Once you have completed the survey and submitted it once you will not not be able to access the survey from that same computer again.

Specialized, Giant (for the ladies), Niner and maybe Kona? Should I even take my own bike?

Angela, I'm really looking forward to this event. I don't see camping details though. I went to the park website and they identify four group campgrounds. Do we just show up with a tent and claim a patch of earth or is there someplace to rent/pay for it? If we just stake our claim do we need to contribute something?

Petersburg is the closest campground to the BikeFest. You can actually ride your bike over to BikeFest from Petersburg but if you participate in everything you'd need to come prepared to do a night ride back to your camping area. We always have people who will be camping for the weekend and participating in Saturday's BikeFest - they can chime in but I think most drive from their campground over to BikeFest at Lake Springs! (BikeFest used to be held at a campsite at Petersburg which was ultra convenient for the campers but we quickly outgrew that venue!) Here is the information for the Petersburg campground! www.reserveamerica.com/camping/Petersburg_Ga/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&parkId=71348&topTabIndex=CampingSpot

Looks like we are going to have a great turnout for BikeFest! There are picnic tables at Fox Run that provides some seating but if you have a folding chair you might want to bring it.

The COE requires riders to wear hunter orange from October 1 through the end of the year so don't forget to bring your vest. We do have some extras but looks like a great turnout this year and we won't have enough for everyone!
