On Sunday October 7th 2012, SORBA-CSRA, National Mountain Bike Patrol (NMBP) together with Chain Reaction Cycling and Mistletoe State Park will host young riders, ages 6 to 16+, for a youth mountain biking event.
The ride is part of a nationwide celebration known as Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, supported by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA).
SORBA-CSRA welcomes all riders and their families who want to have a fun day on their bikes and help bring up the next generation of mountain bikers! This event can be fun for the whole family, even for those who might not to ride a bike. There is swimming, picnicking, fishing, geocaching and more. Come out and enjoy the Great Outdoors!

Cost: There is not a cost for the actual event as it is provided by SORBA CSRA, NMBP, and Chain Reaction Bicycles. Mistletoe State Park has a $5.00 parking fee or you can use a Georgia State Parks Pass
What you need to bring: Your Bike; Helmet; Water; Sunscreen; bug spray...Desire to have fun!

Agenda:
1:00—Onsite Registration Opens
1:30—Beginner Rider’s Bike Safety Checkout 2:00—Welcome and Review of Bike Safety 2:00—Trail Ride for experienced riders heading towards Cliatt Creek and Rock Dam Trails
2:00—Trail Ride for beginner riders heading towards Campground Loop, Office, and Cliatt Creek (North end) trails.
All rides should stop and check out the canyon on the Canyon Loop Trail created by poor farming practices during the 1920’s
4:00—Return to the trailhead for dinner
(Hamburgers), gifts, and story telling.
