I think (meaning i may well be wrong) any SRAM shifter would work with any SRAM derailleur as long as its all the same "speed" - 10sod shifters won't work with 9spd derailleurs, and vice versa.
They'll come with new cables, not sure about housing. Get new housing tho, small amount of $ compared to cost of the upgrade and well worth it.
Any of the local bike shops could set you up and make sure you get something that'll work with the parts you have.

Thanks for the reply. I've been reading around the net and that's pretty much what I gathered (SRAM <-> SRAM; 1:1 <-> 1:1; x9), but I wanted to be certain. I stopped at Andy's to pick up some new bottle cages and checked if they had the X0's and they didn't. I always like to try to do things myself (as long as it's not too involved) and I've been a rider and tinkerer for about 15 years (but certainly no professional; e.g. I only work on my bike once every couple of months for tune-ups). I suppose I can stop at Chain Reaction today and ask for their expert advice on my little question (since they're much, much closer for me).

Dustin's right. Make sure the shifters/derailleur are the same 'speed' and you're golden. You can even interchange SRAM road/MTB parts if necessary.
