Just want to give a shout out to our local guys who did the inaugural Pisgah 111K last Saturday….Nevin, TedS and Stan (crockpot). They all did great and finished despite the hellish terrain. Ted wrote up the story in his blog below. Great read, Ted. I really enjoy your stories. www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=5642650547202050647#editor/ target=post;postID=8432331746608150243

I'm not sure what's more impressive: that you finished the race or that you can remember so much detail about it. Great report.

I, too, am very impressed-- how many feet of climbing was that?

Ted, Your write up is just MAH-vah-lous! I remember starting, eating, pushing, crashing, finishing and that's about it. I had a good deal left in the tank so I know I paced well and this has been me this season so far. but, I was there to finish. I think my buddy Drew was a little down since he certainly coulda been in the top 20 without commiting to riding this with me. I guess that's what friends do. Anyway, my scalp hurts. I land square on my my head with a loud crck of my neck. I got up amazed at good my neck felt. I guess it was theraputic. My scalp feels other wise. It did scare the hell out of me though. That was NOT a good place to need med-evac. Stan

11,000 feet (of climbing) was what was advertised. I lost count...
