The route
Start at Keg creek and do the Christmas party ride.
>> then ride all of Bartram trail to West Dam trail head
>> West Dam to Modoc on pavement(8miles)
>> Modoc to wine creek/283
> using the power lines to connect over to Mt lebonon church rd.
> to FS 617
>Turkey creek
>wine creek
>283 @*# Done ..
Approximately 75 miles.
So far the Plan is to meet at Wine Creek 283and shuttle over to keg creek together, hopefully in one vehicle, Dan P has offered to bring his trailer if needed, and Nevin has offered to to use his car as a shuttle as well, he can hold 4 bikes. Guess we can figure that part out as we get a more accurate head count.
Meet at 283 trail head at 7:30
I will set out water & stuff at various points along the way, our shuttle vehicles will be at Keg,.. then drops at west dam, modoc, FS 617 and then Key bridge. There is also the ranger station at mistletoe state park to buy stuff and get water and the store in Modoc. I think that works out to never having to ride more than 15 miles w/o a water fuel stop. If it stays cool I'll just use a water bottle.
No worries If you don't know the route, No one gets dropped, we will regroup at the turns. If we get a big enough crew we can probably break into 2 groups or more with some one who knows the route in each.
This ride affords a lot of places to bail out, and or Join in en-route. If your not up for all of it join us some where along the way or bail out early.
If your going to ride this Sunday anyhow why not plan to ride some where along this route and we will see ya out there. Always nice to run into a friendly face out on the trails.
