FATS was way too wet to ride today (as were probably all the other trails due to the deluge at 6:00am) so we opted to pick up a friend and head to the North Augusta Greeneway. There are many options when the trails are wet - road rides, gravel roads, etc but this offers an opportunity to perhaps take your family out for a ride, walk, etc. I created this video while I was out there today. If you get impatient with the 6 minute length know that once you are at about the 3:17 mark in the video you have reached the far side of the Greeneway at about the 6+ mile mark and then heading back. At the end is just a short preview of one short trail around the Brickyard Ponds - this area is actually quite nice and features some small waterfalls and bridges, etc. Check it out, we found it the perfect trail for getting young riders off the roads while our sons were learning to ride. On a disappointing note, we saw a car with a mountain bike on top coming from the general direction of FATS and the bike was extremely muddy. Please pass the word on riding the trails when they are wet! Education does help.
