Hi Bill - I am posting something. Hopefully someone responds.
I am going to try night riding and need to get a light.
What should I look for in a light? Any suggestions on a model?

Hello Susan, I'm going to reccommend two brands of lights for you and give the links to the websites. If you are planning to get only one light, make it a helmet mount. The reason is you can aim the light better from your head than from your handlebar. The recommended setup however would be a helmet mount and handlebar mount combo. The two brands that I would reccommend are Night Rider (which the majority of SORBA members use unless I'm mistaken) and the Planet Bike Alias or Insight versions. The web links are www.niterider.com & www.planetbike.comAlso you can go to mtbreview.com/ to see what other rider use. I currently have both and have been very happy with them. Email me if you have any other questions. Todd

Those HID lites sure look nice. Brite lite, long burn time, short charge time. But big price.
