;D Bought this bike when I was in middle school, a friend and I each pitched in $7.50 and got it from a yard sale in our neighborhood. It's great for cruising the neighborhood. It's a Rollfast "Super DeLuxe", best I can tell it was made sometime around 1975, +/- a few years. Couldn't find anything on this particular bike, but found some 1975 model bikes with the same brake. It's all original except for the tires, which I replaced last year. It rides really really smooth. The coaster brake barely works though, to make it stop quickly I have to almost stand on the pedal. It came with this sweet generator light, which is off at the moment, but it also still works. Adds a bit of drag, and a lot of noise, of course....

Awesome bike! I've always planned on getting a pair of old cruisers (or possibly a tandem??) to fix up, just to ride around the Greeneway and such with the wife. Some day.....

Do y'all wear matching fanny packs when you ride them? ;D But seriously, those are pretty sweet. Are the head tube junctions fillet brazed? Looks like it in the pic...but the seat tube/top tube connection apears to be welded. kconner - keep an eye on Craislist, I've seen a cruiser tandem show up on the Augusta one before. A Schwinn if I remember correctly.

Fanny packs and tube socks.
The head tubes do look brazed. Who knows what they were doing in 1972, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Looks like another fillet brazed headtube.
Banana seat bikes are sweet, they're wheelie machines!

wow, the price is right, but both need some body work done. will anybody local work on something like this? (maybe an auto body shop would?) of course, it would be fun to learn how to do it myself....

I wouldn't mess with the paint on any of those. Wash and wax would be it, and polish chrome if there is any. You'd be surprised what some elbow grease will do and half their value is in the original paint.
And I think they're all priced high.

the 2 singles look like the paint is in fine condition, it's the chrome I'd be worried about. I've never messed with chrome before, so I'm not sure how to deal with rusty chrome....if it could be fixed with polish then awesome, if not, I would think that the worst case scenario would be to just be to re-chome the parts. The tandem is pretty cool too...
anyways, I agree, I think they're priced high.

If you look my bikes rims they were orange with rust when I got it. They cleaned up with wet Brillo pads, thats what i did to all the chome on that bike only the bars are modern day. If it was me chrome for the mid 70's and back would not be an issue, if the chrome is not gone it will clean up.

My father in law has a bike similar to yours that he wants to get fixed up....
