Did the Christmas Party ride today with TZeaser and Ted S. Wow, this December weather is simply amazing.
There are a number of trees down on the doubletrack going in the back entrance. They are too tall for me to hop but I saw Dustin clear them a few weeks ago. With it being on the doubletrack , would it be okay to notch one side of those trees and leave the other side full for the DG's of the world?
There are also a number of trees down on the lollipop stick going in and on the loop going CCW from the rear entrance to the ranger station. Do you have to be chainsaw certified to cut on State Park property?
Wouldn't mind doing the cleanup if not.
That thick wet leaf cover on Keg and Mistletoe was like being on ice skates at times today.
Those two trails are real gems.If you haven't ridden Mistletoe you are missing some of the area's finest singletrack.

No certification is required as far as I know.
The double track is used occasionally by the land manager. When we first cleared the woods road, we cut sections out of downed logs for bikes. At some time later, all the trees were cleared, presumably by officials. I have seen and talked to COE folks with trucks far down that road.
