2011 Fall Bikefest – Saturday, November 5th – Deer Run picnic area at the Lake Springs Recreation Area
Event will be cancelled if it rains - check the SORBA-CSRA website!
Specialized Bicycles will be at the Deer Run picnic area at 12:00 noon with demo bikes! This is a great opportunity to try out a new bike (they will have mountain bikes and road bikes). Not sure yet what the sign up process will be to reserve a bike to ride or if it is strictly going to be first come, first served but we will relay that information as soon as we have it. If you ride clipless you might want to bring your own pedals to use on the demo bike.
1pm – Rides of varying lengths will leave from the Deer Run picnic area – opportunity for rides varying from 3 miles to 38 miles in length, something for everyone.
3pm – Bike Games will start – wheel toss, bike toss, limbo, bunny hop, tire blow, etc
5pm - Cookout – Brats, hot dogs, hamburgers, sides and drinks
7pm – Night Ride – if you haven’t ridden at night before and want to give it a try, sign up when you get to the picnic area at Deer Run since there are limited lights available (recommend that you are very familiar with your bike and can ride the Bartram Trail comfortably during the daylight hours to sign up for the night ride)!
We will have a camp fire!
The event is open to members & non-members and is a free event for everyone so bring your friends!!
Please let us know if you plan to attend so we can plan for the food! sorbacsra@gmail.com
