so i rode the toe today, the weather was awesome. i rode in the back door and i had to drag a large limb off of the trail about 1/4 mile in once the single track starts. other than than trimmed a few face slappers back, and had a good time. there are only a few small puddles in the creek beds, and most of the trail was covered in leaves. the lack of water and intense heat has really taken it's toll on the trees and they are dropping leaves very quickly. with the ground covered and the pleasant breeze, i felt like i was riding in late November. if you haven't ridden Mistletoe very much, i would recommend going with someone who has because the trail could be easy to lose if you're not familiar.
