Just for clarity we will have an Explore the Trail Ride at Modoc on August 6th - 9:30am. This is an intermediate level trail but is suitable for fit novices. It is an in-out trail for a total of 12 miles. This is a great trail and the terrain is varied - temperatures should be in the 80's during the ride - come check it out.....bring your friends! There is also an intermediate level rolling skills clinic being held by Dustin G that will be heading out from the Modoc Trailhead at 8:00am the same day!

The regular Explore the Trail ride is on for 9:30 the temps will be in the low 80s to start and mid by the end only 10% chance of rain this morning. This is a great trail, if you haven't ridden it before grab your bike and gear and head out there.
Take Fury's Fury (28) north - cross into South Carolina - about 15 miles to Modoc - turn right on 23 - trailhead is about a mile on the left.

Fun ride this morning. Thanks for organizing the skills clinic dgaddis. I still gotta work on those log crossings! Only got a chance to snap two quick photos... dgaddis clearing the rock And a true perspective of how it looks in real life. You can see it clearly dwarfs Banks, who also cleared it.

JTaylor rode up the rock too! Have you ever seen JT let out a loud "yeaaaah!"? Not very often for me. I think he let let out several of those and now has a new spring in his step.

I really hate that I missed this one, I was looking forward to the skills clinic part of the ride. I had car trouble yesterday and was unable to make the trip. Luckily it was a minor problem, but unluckily it prevented me from driving that far. Looks like the ride and clinic was a success, hopefully it can be done this way again in the future. Great videos DG!

Good turn out for the skills clinic today! I had a good time. Thanks for organizing this. I was able to ride sections that I had never cleared (or tried) before. Modoc definitely offers more endos per mile than any trail in the area. I saw 4 really good crashes. I hope everyone is OK today!
