From Brad Barnes
There are two sections I want to address:
1) install a wooden plankway over a sandy climb at Clown Corner. We'll build most of the plankway prior to Saturday morning, so most of the work will involve final installation. 2) reroute a steep downhill section that is suffering from erosion. Most of this work can be accomplished with hand tools (rakes, shovels, hoes, tamps and McLeods). We have some, but not many.
Bring flat shovels, hard rakes or and tools you have to work the tread. I have most of the SORBA Mcleods and pulaskis at my house. I will not make the workparty tomorrow, but if someone lives in the Augusta area, I can meet you somewhere tonight with some tools. Call me at 706-799-1531.
