I am sure this is somewhere in the archives, but I am too lazy to look. I have never ridden Bartram and would like to get some kind of beforehand heads up. I've ridden Brown Wave and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'll most probably be camping at Petersburg for a few nights and will definitely want to do the East trail with the Spring Lake Loop. Will definitely do some more FATS as well. I looked into a cabin at Hickory Knob SP, but the drive to FATS looks to be 45 minutes (correct me if I'm wrong). Anyhow, there's plenty to ride.

Best bet is to park at the Petersburg trailhead. Go East to West Dam and include the Lake Springs loop. This is an excellent beginner ride although if you go too fast through some corners, it could get ugly. Going West from P'burg has an entirely different feel. It's just a notch above beginner but has nothing technical. This stretch is longer and the many dips require more stamina than the P'burg-W. Dam piece. And there's the option to continue through Wildwood Park and do the Keg Creek Loop. KC is more technical.
