This is my first try at posting a photo on this forum and I have made it all the way through Photobucket, including uploading some images from my computer to there. I have copied and pasted the IMG code below but something doesn't look right so please bear with me if the photo does not appear. I'll keep trying until I get the hang of it. Edit: Oops, I took a look and no photo in this message. Will try again soon. Edit 2: Tried again but no luck. Any guess as to what I am doing wrong? Do I simply paste the IMG code along with the rest of my message and then click on "Post"? Edit 3: Okay, for some reason I was not copying and pasting the entire IMG code number so here it is.

You want to use the "IMG Code", the bottom option in Photobucket. You can copy and paste it directly into the the forum, no other code necessary. The code should look like this, minus the space before the last bracket: i750.photobucket.com/albums/xx147/dgaddis12/21a2a23e.jpg[/IMG ] Had to put the space in there to make the code show instead of the picture.

If you go to photobucket.com -> My Home and you'll see some of your pictures. Move the mouse over the pic, but don't click, and a menu will pop up, at the bottom is the IMG Code. If you click that code it will automatically copy. Then simply paste it into your message here wherever you want the picture to show up.
I'm not sure what that other code is....
EDIT - there you go, you got it.

Success at last and thank you very much. I usually save all my images in TIFF but reduced the one I posted to JPEG. Is that okay or should I go even lower?
Merry Christmas.

JPEG is fine, nearly every image on the net is a JPEG.
I'll sometimes resize mine, 800x600, you can do it in photobucket, makes 'em a little easier to see without having to scroll around as much. But a lot of times I don't take the time to resize...wonder if you can set a default size whenever you upload something?
EDIT: yes you can. click your username in the top right, then click the Album Settings tab, then Upload Settings. Now I wont have to individually resize every single one.
