Rode Keg this morning (5/29) and the wind storm earlier in the week caused a lot of damage on Keg. There are at least 18 different spots through out the trail that a chainsaw will be required. Some of these are "easy" cuts of non-riders but at least 5 are tops of trees or multiple fallen trees. One is a very large pine that fell the length of the trail will many smaller trees coming down with it.
I cleared as much as possible for one person. On a positive note, I cleared the trail of spiders and webs.

thanks for the info. We have a friend who lives on Eubanks Road and a microburst touched down there and wreaked havoc so I suspected that Keg got hit. I have a shoulder that's healing so will probably be a few weeks before I can ride out there.
Also, construction of the rock bridge will be aided shortly - DNR is reparing the WMA service road very soon so we will be able to drive to within a 2 minute walk.

Mistletoe was a mess as well. Dustin will likely post details of our ride. Suffice it to say, he and John P. were busy with their saws today.

Yep, lots of trees down at mistletoe. Most of the chainsaw work should be easy to get to from that woods road that bisects rock dam.
We cleared a bunch tho. We had two hand saws and some small clippers and we used them!

David K and I finished cleaning Keg this morning. We left a few rider trees; there are a few half in- half out to give you an option; one tree across the trail has a weenie cutout.
