I've been asked by the Park Rangers at Clarks Hill Lake to provide a Bike Patrol training class on Thursday, March 18, 2010. The class will run from 8:15am to 12:00pm and will take place in the COE Visitor Center Conference Room on the South Carolina side of the lake just past the dam.
The class will cover the following objectives in addition to Bike Patrol training:
Training Objectives: 1. Establish a working knowledge of Mt. Bike design, functions, capabilities, performance, and safety use. 2. Establish a working knowledge of Mt. Bike riding, handling, maintenance, and accessory equipment. 3. Prepare Rangers for the duties associated with use of a Mt. Bike. 4. Understand traffic laws that concern you as a Mt. Bike Ranger.
It looks like the Park Rangers are looking to establish their own group of Ranger Bike Patrol to help out with the trails up at the lake and surrounding areas. This will be a great help to our own Patrol group.
If anyone is interested in attending the training to become a member of our Bike Patrol group and can make it that day, please let me know so I can add you to the roster.
Be safe!

Time to negoiate (sp?) a little. SORBA CSRA supplies the training when the ACOE finalizes the route for the new trail thru Wildwood. Talk to Paul about it.
