the last few Saturdays I have been hitting the trails at first light (6:30ish) and seam to have spiders and webs for breakfast. All I can say is KEEP IT UP and THANK YOU!

Ride it. It needs traffic... It needs more than traffic to clear it off. all those things Ted mentioned are part of the experience and to be accepted, not avoided. That's debatable. The majority (meaning 85% or more) don't enjoy going through experiences such as this. It'll take more than the occasional 1-2 of the 20 hardcore people who will actually ride Turkey in this condition to clear it off this way.

F@ck'em. Let'em ride road. ;D Based on EdgeE's Ride lines thread up in general as just one example, the majority also want to ride around every damn root out there. Doesn't mean it should be encouraged. If someone wants to play in the woods they should be willing to get dirty, stung, poked, scratched, bitten, bruised, and itchy. Sometimes it'll even be uncomfortable.

Point of my response was to let people know that Turkey is not the most enjoyable experience right now. The other stuff, well that just leads to dead horses being beaten. If it means so much to you, join the NMBP and help educate your fellow bikers as to the way it should be.

When I rode it a month ago (first 2 miles anyway) I had nothing to compare it to since I just got my bike. It was growing in but I figured all the trails in the area were like that too. Wouldn't stop me from riding it again though.
Lots of trails I haven't been on yet, so I'm gonna try them all eventually.

FATS has overgrowth. Even with all of the traffic. Keep an eye on the site. Most all trails get ridden by someone who visits the forum and will give updates on them.
It's good to have goals. Especially ones that get you out on all the trails in the area. Let us know how you like each from the viewpoint of someone that hasn't ridden them before. I bet it will bring up fond memories for some of us that have ridden each one umpteen-grazillion times.
Since we're on that subject... I remember being on a ride and holding a vine in place for a guy named TJ to grab onto as he rode by and then swung across one of the dips around the 3 mile section of Turkey.
Ahhh good times!

Since I live close, maybe I will try Turkey Sunday morning early, or Monday. Gotta ride somewhere!
