No - Benchmark used quite a bit of it on new Bartram including several places where creek bottoms are armored. The surface is not smooth. So far, I haven't experienced or heard of any problems with it.

I would love to use some on HKSP. I did not realize how heavy it was though. That just means that it will last longer! MD

Russell - you should know better than ride your bike around on gym floors!!
I'm involved this Sat AM on the new Bartram to armor the wet spot using this new stuff. Don't need any labor as this is a deal with the Boy Scouts. Actually it's part of a project that BSA is doing with a government entity (COE) and a volunteer organization (SORBA). I'll be representing us and giving the scouts guidance. Also involved is a photo shoot that will go into national publication. Dave Quebedeaux is the COE ranger bringing this together. I'll probably get a few pics to post here.

Just rode the new section today and it was great!! Rollers come a bit to often which changes the flow, but still a very fun ride.

My daughter and I rode a small portion of the new trail this morning. She is 10 and loved it. We only got a couple miles into it. We were spent from a big day of riding on Saturday.
I'm looking forward to riding it soon with fresh legs.

Rollers come a bit to often which changes the flow, but still a very fun ride. I love the new trail but I agree with you here, some of the rollers are too tight and too frequent. Gotta slam on the brakes and drop to a moderate speed to get through them. Definitely breaks up the flow. Some very clever design elements in certain spots are the highlights. The rock bridge section is very cool. A couple of bigger rollercoaster-like sections there that remind me of FATS, but these are even bigger! I intend on riding this trail a lot. Can't wait to give the full West Dam to Keg and back a try!

Second go at New Bartram yesterday. Great ride.
Better coming from WW to P'burg, I thought. If one was going to set a shuttle and do a big one way ride, I would end at West Dam. Could start at Mistletoe for the really big ride.
My thought is to start at Keg Creek and save the long drive to Mistletoe. Just do Keg - Mistletoe - Keg and then ride to the other car at West Dam. Will be able to restock supplies at car. Only thing you add is the section b/n Mistletoe and Keg twice instead of once.
