When I was 17 or 18 many, many, many years ago, I had a 15 foot boat with a 50 hp motor. When I went under the Raysville bridge I had to push against the bridge to get the windshield under the bridge. Just to make a point I then docked the boat on top of a concrete picnic table that was about 3 inches below the water level.

I don't get the point or reasoning behind this post.

I don't get the point or reasoning behind this post. From the previous post of water being 2.5' over pool. Apparently this poster has seen it a lot higher.

Since moving here, we have seen the lake full, but not over full pool. When you drive up 28 through Parksville, the road is right next to the lake. A friend at work said he has seen the water over that road. That's high.

I've seen the waves breaking almost onto the road at that spot. But, I've never seen water on the road.
Glad Mark Y decoded that post. I was confused.

And then there was the infamous bridge building project on the Keg Creek Trail several years ago - The lake was way above full pool. We took Bryan Bigsby's pontoon boat in loaded with lumber. We could barely get beneath the KC bridge on Washington Rd. We motored up Keg Creek literally on the trail watching the yellow trail blazes go by. We had only a 3 minute walk to the bridge site after docking - memorable trip!

Hey Dale,
Do you have any photos from the Infamous Surf & Turf Bridge Building Adventure (ISTBBA)? That was one bizarre mission... I think it was You, Charlie, Robert Burton and myself floating down the trail. That boat is a 24 ft. hardtail single speed (2 speed if you count reverse), I remember it took all 4 of us to work it around some of the tight corners, but we made it!

Question Dale. When the bridge was done and you had used the stringer you bridged fromthe boat with, how did you get back on the boat without wading?

Didn't you know Dale can walk on water?
I know the next question...then how did the rest of them get back? ...Dale carried them! ;D
Just kidding!

No - the other guys crouched down in the water and I simply walked across on their shoulders.
I think we pulled the boat closer and were able to hop on.
That may have been the most interesting bridge project I've ever been on.
