The private land (42 acres) that contains this connector route portion next to Keg Creek was sold last week (9/29) and has been fenced, gated and posted where the woods road dumps out into Keg Pointe II subdivision. The new owner is a local there living on Reservoir Rd. So for now please heed the posting unless there is a medical emergency. We'll see if we can get access permission.
An alternative is the 4-wheeler track that intersects KC almost at lake's edge. Take this uphill and then bear left near the top. This will put you out at a paved cul-de sac in Keg Pointe I where you proceed and then turn left onto Reservoir Rd and follow as before. This route is a little steep in places but mainly you have to pick your line through the heavily eroded line caused by 4-wheelers running down the fall line. I sometimes use this as a way out pulling the trailer with chain saw. This will add probably a half mile of pavement to the connector route.
