Phil, Doyce, Matt, and I scouted some of the course yesterday, we rode up Columbine to the summit (12,600ft) and also did the Powerline climb which is short but rediculous. This is insane!

Should be interesting, there are several big horses here so I think it may be more than Lance and Dave. Headed over to medical check in; these guys aren't French so I should pass the drug test despite the chemotherapy . Weather turned south, cold and rainy this morning, this could be a game changer.

Good luck. This is one time I am glad I am NOT in Colorado!
Is there a website we can follow the race on? Will the leaders have GPS tracking units?

Should be able to get all the info here: www.leadvilletrail100.com/Do not know about GPS tracking but there is a live stream. Have not tried it yet but you should be able to get results at least there. Tom

$5 pay per view unfortunately. Weather cleared up, looks like things will be fun! The atmosphere is electric here, riders everywhere. They said 1300 racers this year! Look for a report after the race tomorrow, gun goes off at 6:30am!

Dave spoke at the race meeting this morning, Lance was supposed to make an appearance but didn't. He's been off the radar...Tinker Juarez was just walking down the street.
Good night guys, I'm crawling in bed in a few only to crawl into the pain cave for most of the day tomorrow.

Talked to Matt. He said JT passed him coming down Columbine as he (Matt) was going up. He said JT was bouncing down the trail with about 6 other riders and looked really good. These guys are the MAN finish or not, just for putting the effort down. Can't wait to hear the different rider perspectives on this event. I had race envy all day. It was like jonesing for toke back in the day!

My goal was under 9 hours for the silver belt buckle, as Matt reported I rode 10:20 and this was by far...I mean by far, the single hardest thing I have ever done in my life. Doyce just crossed the line, don't know his official time yet. Will post up when I can hold my head up again. You guys would love this event, it is a mountain biker's race that is for sure! Oh yeah, in case you didn't see Lance set the course record and got the win with a time of 6:23 He blew by me going down as I was climbing to Columbine Mine like he had jets on his back. Sick, just plain sick!
