The recent storms were not nice to HKSP ! Lota trees down ! I asked several who rode Sunday in the group afterwards : " How many trees did you think were down , 15 ? " They all quickly repled " At Least ! " Half dozen first mile , then about 1 every mile .

Thanks for what you do. I know no one, except maybe Barbara, who spends as much time working on these trails as you. Not just screwing around either, but getting some heavy lifting done so the trails are clear of deadfall and vegetation. It is impressive and I see it when I ride and hear it about it at places I haven't hit lately. Thanks to both of you for a ton of work that is too often thankless.

There's a lot of great people in the CSRA who do a ton of work on the trails. Thanks.

+1 There's a lot of great people in the CSRA who do a ton of work on the trails. Thanks. Not a lot relative to the number who enjoy the results of that labor. There are a handful of you folks who put in the lions's share of the work. Some of the rest of us pitch in here and there, and the rest (majority) not at all.

Dale is out of town to mid-July. I can probably make it; let me know which day. I will probably want to start about 7am latest. When are the fireworks? I presume people are going to ride to the point to watch again this year?

I presume people are going to ride to the point to watch again this year? Thunder Over Thurmond is going to be July 11th this year. Our group has gotten progressively smaller each year, so I don't think SORBA/CSRA is going to try to put anything "official" together this year. www.gastateparks.org/net/calendar/details.aspx?c=4080167&s=146957.0.0.5We will be camping from Thursday afternoon (the 2nd) and heading home on the 5th. Will cut either the 3rd or 4th. Early start is imperative! We'll talk. MD
