AJBW is still doing the weekly ride at the canal every Weds. night, and the group is getting bigger and bigger. We had 12 riders this week! What's fun about this ride is the variety of people who show up. Everything from experienced racers to people who just bought a bike earlier that day. Here's been some of the highlights lately:
-Riding a big downed tree w/sketchy log piles on either side -Riding the jumps built by some ATV riders while the canal was closed -See people overcome their fear and riding certain sections for the first time -Jumping and passing bikes across a train stopped and blocking access to the tow path -How many flats can one person get in less than 6 miles of trail? So far, 3 is the high number for one night. -Stan's no-tubes is the bomb -Improving bike handling - I know mine has gotten better
Meet at the bike shop before 6:00. We leave at 6:20, take the tow path to the pump house, do two or three laps around the trail, then take the tow path back to the shop.
Drew's on vacation next week, but he asked me to lead the ride, so it's still going down.
