As usual, this trail does extremely well during times of rain/moisture. A few trees are down, specifically two in section 2 and one right at the junction of sections 5 and 1. We'll get these cleaned up before the ride. Other than that, zero mud, zero muck.

How is that access road (private property???) getting us down to the eroded switchback look? If that is passable/usable, it would be fairly simple to get the materials down there we need to fix this spot.

Next time I ride HC (probably this week) I will check it out. That "blown out" spot is not too bad, as long as you stay wide, bit it sure wouldn't hurt to get it fixed up one time, for good.

Probably when they clear-cut section 4. It definitely would not take a lifted 4x4 truck to get down to the eroded switchback. MD

Rode Horn yesterday. Trail was in great shape. Just some trees down. Spoke with the camp ground host for several minutes. Let him know about the SMC. The campground was full, and there were a couple campers there with bikes. Nice to see the place back open.
Went back in today with chain saw. Took out seven trees. HC is ready.
