Trail is clear but in section 4 towards where you drop down the hill at the back of the clearcut, about a 100ft section of the trail has been completely destroyed and is impassable. They cleared a firebreak with a bulldozer and pushed the trees on top of where the trail was. But yet the Forest Service supposedly cares if we go around a mud puddle or straighten out a turn.

All non rider trees have been cleared with the exception of one not far from the paved lot going towards section 2. It's an easy go around. I guess that's why it didn't get cut. Or either the sawyer's saw ran out of gas... This is a fun little 5.5 mile trail that needs to be ridden more. I'm gonna make it a point to ride it more often.

Handful of mud puddles on Brown/Skinny/Wall. Big non rider on upper Skinny and several non riders on Great Wall. Made mental notes of where they were but heat exhaustion made me forget.

Who owns the land and how many acres is it? N.A. has the Greenway and Palmetto parkway paths so they should have experience with the liability aspect.

Big non rider back by the river where the much contested rider was last year. It's kinda dead but still solid enough that it'll need a chainsaw or 4+ strong backs.

Thought about taking some 2ft rebar, bending it in the middle, then driving it in a couple places. The water shouldn't (hopefully) take them very far.

Took a little hike with the Fam. We started at mile 5 and went to mile 4. I expected the dips to be muddy but they were in surprisingly good shape. The mile of trail we walked looked good. One of the worst dips has had an improvement which should help with the mud in the bottom. New mile markers look nice!

Turkey Creek trail runs along Turkey Creek for 7 miles. Stevens creek where hwy 23 crosses (Modoc trailhead) is a nice, easy access stretch too. Everything is so low right now that it might be tough finding any deep holes.

The first 3 miles are not bad. Once you drop down off the high ground towards the confluence it gets bad quick. The last half of the trail is really not a trail anymore. The vegetation is unreal. I had to stop several times and look for the white tree blazes to know which direction the trail went. There's a lot of trees down. Mostly from about 3 miles in and onward. A couple of really big ones. The dips were dry and all the bridges seemed fine. If anybody wants to do some work out there next Thursday or Friday let me know and I'll come help. I have a 20" chainsaw for the bigger trees (if a Certified Sawyer needs to use it).

Except for the couple of muddy dips the trail is in good shape. Thanks to the Lambert's for clearing all the non-riders. With all the wind this week I was surprised to not see any new trees down.

Great Wall has some pretty bad muddy spots that mess up an otherwise bone dry trail. 4 or 5 trees that'll need a saw. Most are btwn the bench and the start of the trail. Lower skinny: I lost count of the trees down. Btwn 5 and 10. Some big ones. Brown wave is in fine shape except for a couple saw logs down as well.

First mile section is clear. Next 3 miles has 4 or 5 blow downs that'll need achainsaw. The board walk had a very close call. The last third was clear. Prescribed burn was done sometime in the past few days.
