I really want to try out the explore trail ride this weekend, but I have an event that I have to be at in the afternoon. How long do these rides usually take?

A lot depends on how many and who all shows up.
- We typically start within 15 to 20 minutes of the announced ETTS time.
- If only six people show up, and they are all regulars who have ridden HC a hundred times, then we may knock off two laps, then sit around eating some of Angela's goodies. A lap takes between 35 and 45 minutes for most of us. Soooo....We could be there are least two hours.
- If we get several newbies, plus some regulars, we'll start out like the TC ride with the fast ones, then everyone else blends in. We'll usually also have a sweeper. A lap at HC can take one to one and a half hours to bring everyone in.
Were you thinking of showing up at the front end (around 1pm) or the back end (3pm)? If you need to start riding at 1pm, go for it. If you are looking for someone to ride with after 3pm, then the parking lot could be empty.

OK, thanks for the info. I have never ridden this trail before, so I would like to ride with a group. I need to be on the road by 2:30ish -- sounds like that may be possible.

Bring your bike, and knock out a lap with the group. If you feel good, and you should, knock out a second. Then you'll have time to load up, eat some goodies, and drink some Heed or Powerade (Paul usually brings the after-ride drinks). MD

Nope. Starting Sat. I will be an hourly employee at work. When there's stuff to do I'll come in and work and get paid. When things are slow, I'll stay home and not get paid. Things look to be slow for a while Can't really justify spending the money to go there and back right now. Anyone know of someone looking for a mechanical engineer? docs.google.com/Doc?id=dd25vt9w_0csk83jfn
