Thanks Brian & JT. After watching the video and reading the posts about the trail, my interest is greater than ever. Holler at me on day and we will go(any day but this Saturday-helping son move); preferably in the EARLY am. Maybe we can strongarm Jon into being the tourgide again.

Hickory Knob does not charge a fee to get into the park or ride the trails. Baker Creek does charge a fee but unlike the fees at Horn Creek (Lick Fork) and Mistletoe which is by vehicle they charge for each person in the car at Baker Creek.
It is inexpensive but we've found that with so many free miles of trail to ride folks don't generally go out of there way to ride a trail that charges a fee unless it is a highly desirable trail.

Rode MT this morning from the Ridge Road back door. The trail is in decent shape; several down trees that need to be cut, a few areas that need the stick trimmers. The double track going down to the new connector needs lopping and trees cut as well. The ravine has had more erosion- a bigger drop-in at the beginning and another drop about 10' further down. One creek crossing has been modified by a big tree down and erosion on the bank- the reroute is a good line now. I was reminded this morning that this is a tough (and fun) trail.
