Julie and I rode Keg Creek today. The trail was in pretty good condition. It had gotten a lot of rain, but the trail was not wet. There are 5-7 trees down and a couple of leaners across the trail. It will take a chain saw to cut them out.

Rode Keg Sunday, 11/16. Trail is in good shape, lots of leaves. Only 2 real non-rider trees down. Both streams are the same- first one a walker, the second a rider. The "Big Rock" crossing was dry enough to ride!

Did a night ride counterclockwise about ten trees down on first half. Only two were riders. Alot of leaves. Hard to pick up the trail. Last half of the trail was good.

Yesterday, Charlie and I blew off the leaves on most of the trail - we had to bail towards the North end because he had a commitment. If it doesn't rain too much today, I'll finish that job tomorrow afternoon. We were able to move 4-5 trees off the trail but there are still 22 down. Will get them out over the next few weeks. Trail tread is in superb shape.

finished the blow-off yesterday and chain-sawed out 11 trees. Sixteen trees remain, most are non-riders but easy step over. Other than these trees (hope to get them cut within next couple of weeks), KC is in about the best shape I've seen it.

Got 17 trees off the trail today but got caught in the rain and got soaked! KC is in great shape despite evidence of a horse or two being on the trail sometime within the last 2 weeks. Of course, wait a day or so for the trail to dry off.
Also, I lost a bungee that tied my chainsaw to the BOB. Should be obvious on the trail someplace. I'm usually at the monthly SORBA meetings so if you find it and can get it to someone who attends, I'd appreciate it.

Keg Creek has 5 trees down throughout the trail, but it is still a good ride.

thanks for the info, Charlie. Was out there late yesterday and was able to pull 2 trees out of the way between North trail head and Bedrock Crossing. Also noted that a 4-wheeler had been in - fortunately, they had exited before the nice reroute overlooking "Boulder Creek". Am not too surprized. With the lake level down they had contained their riding to the shore line and lake bottom. With the water up, they're back in the woods.

Keg Creek has been cleared of all trees - in very good shape. A few soft spots near the South trailhead and the one muck pit is still there but that water is below the hubs now and there are logs across if you want to walk across instead of ride. I think we'll put in a bridge next winter to deal with the seasonal spring there. Most of the time it is bone dry but springtime brings water to that ditch. This year the water level was super high.

KC was lopped about a week ago and is is very good shape though there are a couple of trees down - they should be out of there shortly.

Non rider trees have been cut out. Trail in great shape.
DR not needed here (yet) - maybe next year if wet weather continues.
Come on over and ride.

John Liebe, Luke, and I cut the fallen trees off Keg this morning. Luke moved all the pinecones. Trail is in good shape.

(Beginner Rider) Me and a friend hiked the trail 7/4 and cleared as much debris as we could. Rode it 7/5 in the early am. It was in great shape, but lots of pine cones. Only one problem, must have hit 200 spider webs! Glad they aren't the biting kind, even had one running back and forth across my glasses. Felt like I'd been in an Indiana Jones movie when I was done. Wish the litter pigs would find some place else to camp, fish, and leave their trash laying around. First time on this trail, the roots gave me a pounding, must be interesting when they are wet.
